dj Nasty's releasing a jungle mix

Post by pablex » Thu Sep 06, 2007 7:58 am

so, dj Nasty will be releasing a jungle mix aswell..
found this on dickride.com (forum)
Hey people heres another selflih promotional post. Im finishing on a new mix cd which will be a drum n bass mix of all my POP/Hip Hop/R&B jungle tracks. Very different from the ghetto mixes out there.
I would say its more old school jungle then drum n bass. These tracks are more of a refrence to the type of jungle tracks i was listening on the radio from zap.
I actually did this for Serato but i figured i might as well press a hundred up and sell them. Im waiting to hear back from a couple of places which hopefully it will get licensed. Im also getting some offers overseas to spin all these tracks, now all i have to do is get serato, lol. Never thought i would spin Jungle, lol. Ohh well fuck it. Better spinnin this shit then the same 10 records eveybody is playing.
can't waith for this!!
you can hear dj Nasty gets influenced by old jungle, to hear that kind of stuff getting produced after 2000 is refreshing and inspiring.

The junglist soldier from L.A., the master of the amen seen on Big cat rec.
is coming ....!!

http://www.myspace.com/generalmalice

If you've never heard of General Malice, then get ready to feel music warfare and be part of the next sound to burst out of the underground. General Malice has had a dream of innovating the mixture of breakbeats, hip hop and a little bit of drum and bass to a point that no one has touched before. As a significant figure on the notorious Big Cat Records in Japan and a rising star on Nitrous Oxide Entertainment in the United States, Malice has always stayed true to his experimental sound, mashing up hip-hop, amen-ridden jungle, reggae and metal within a single track while turning bass-craving junglists into "rabid monsters of the pit."

I saw Goldie play in Bangkok last week. Being an oldskool Junglist i was a little skeptical as i have barely enjoyed a tune since 2001. However the set he played was bloody marvellous. Havn't skanked so much in a loooooooooong time. A good mix of old tunes and some things ive never heard before. The man was loving it an all, not the moody Goldie ive seen before but a full on party animal.

Is Jungle back on form? i bloody hope so :D :D

twinhooker's "blood a run red" mix is one of the better things on my computer without a doubt.

and i say this not being into new school jungle anymore.

he did a mix for our site, http://www.mashupbusiness.be/ , once but it seems to be offline.
i'll see if i can get permission to upload it again on some external file sharing site
