is it worth me saving for an mpc 1500 for £350 when I could get a pc for cheaper. I want an akai though just to make beats but is it worth it? answers welcomed.

Get a PC and MPD, you can create the workflow of the MPC in a daw (Especially Ableton), you will just be looking at monitor rather than a small LCD display

Cos I tried and it sucked ball. Maschine on the other hand is a decent replacement.

The cost of maschine is the price of a PC and you still need a PC though, Ableton is versatile enough to apply hardware-like workflows, you just need to learn a few things within it.

I mean, I did so I already know what it is.

I could go into the maschine being the price of a pc thing, but that's beside the point I think.
I paid €200 for it anyway.
