Looking for an audio recorder
As the titles says, I am looking for an audio recorder. Not to record with my mic, but to sample movies, youtube videos and such.
Anyone has any ideas? I'd prefer if it wasn't too expensive.

Re: Looking for an audio recorder
Can't you just download the mp3 using a converter from youtube and fire the movie into audacity and chop?
Re: Looking for an audio recorder
Your computer and some free dvd ripping/youtube downloading software.
Re: Looking for an audio recorder
I could, but I won't. I am used to using an audio recorder. I had one, but lost it. I find it 50 times faster and easier that way.Brothulhu wrote:Can't you just download the mp3 using a converter from youtube and fire the movie into audacity and chop?

Re: Looking for an audio recorder
Just enable "whatyouhear" or sometimes it is called "stereo mix" or "stereo chipset" in the recording tab of the windows sound configuration thing.
Then just record straight in to your DAW or Audacity or something.

FYI You might not be able to see this option in the recording tab because of two reasons, either your soundcard doesn't support it or you need to right click and select "show disabled devices" and enable it.

Just rent a Dvd and rip it to a stereo wav.
I've just started sampling, it's quite addictive

Or it's called "Stereo Mix" instead.GregoryTJ wrote:FYI You might not be able to see this option in the recording tab because of two reasons, either your soundcard doesn't support it or you need to right click and select "show disabled devices" and enable it.
