I know the feeling fam, i'm dyslexia so it takes me bare long to double check my spelling and the content of what I said actually makes sense. Even then bruv, 1/4 of the times it's fucked. Fully peak

IIRC affect means to influence or cause a change and an effect is the result of the change... Something like that anyway, it's confusing

Yep, it's actually pretty easy - affect = verb, effect = noun. The special effects affected my epilepsy.

The exception that proves the rule (is there a more bullshit phrase in the English language?) is that effect can be awkwardly used as a verb, when you effect a change. But it's probably best to just ignore that.
