Looks neat. And they announced 2.0, but it looks like it's going to cost us.
Thoughts?

Re: Maschine users
Saw this. The update plus the software included is easily worth 99 dollars. I dont need half the stuff making the new controller expensive so ill be sticking w my mkI as long as they support it...Crimsonghost wrote:http://www.native-instruments.com/en/pr ... ne-studio/

Re: Maschine users
Yeah, full support for mk1 ( which is what I'm on also). And I have no problems spending $100 for the update.
It looks like they finally made the push to full fledged daw.
Not really sure how I feel about the new controller. Seems a bit bloated (and looks way to much like the ren) IMO.

Machine Studio NI DAW
I couldn't find a thread for this.
Looks like NI have decided to make a DAW. It looks amazing and comes out just after Christmas. I wish there was more videos available so I can get a idea of how the thing sounds.
What do you guys/girls think?
IMO with the high standard NI puts out on everything they release this could be a real contender.

I tried, and no one cared.
But yeah, I'm excited for 2.0. As a full fledged daw, it still has some shortcomings. But overall it's a huge update, and once it drops I can defiantly see myself using it a lot more.

I really like that there not excluding mk1 users here. Its a great play on there part to make it compatible with all (maschine) hardware.
Re: Machine Studio NI DAW
Absolutely. I'm an mki user as well. 99 USD for the upgrade...all the features...massive...and some kontakt instruments last I heard.Crimsonghost wrote:This ^fragments wrote:I will be throwing my money at NI the minute its available.

Re: Machine Studio NI DAW
Yup, prism, scarbe, and massive. As well as solid bus comp (goodbye glue), and "drum synth" ( which I'm assuming is a maschine version of there there new drum rompler (which does look neat)).
Re: Machine Studio NI DAW
Totally the wrong thread, but, anyone have any knowledge about fat pads for maschine, or any other aftermarket pads? For me, maschine's pads are way to hard. I kinda get lost finger drumming (actually just really suck so have to play the same part OVER AND OVER again for hours until I get it to the point that I can even quantize it
), and my finger joints will really start to hurt. But like seriously. This is not an annoyance, this is a deal breaker. In fact maschine is up in its box in my closet right now. Major time out.
Looking for something to soften up the pads.

Re: Maschine users // Studio NI DAW
Oh, and will all of the features that I'm seeing in 2.0 videos be available on the mk1... most importantly sidechaining? that was another deal breaker

It looks like it will do everything I want out of a daw. I don't think that controller looks bolted at all. I think it's a better controller than ableton push. It's the controller I have been imagining for years.
I can't wait to see some more vids. Also I think for what you get, Hardware + extras it's worth the £1000.
Re: Maschine users // Studio NI DAW
As far as NI has said maschine 2.0 will be fully compatible w mki.nowaysj wrote:Oh, and will all of the features that I'm seeing in 2.0 videos be available on the mk1... most importantly sidechaining? that was another deal breaker

Re: Maschine users // Studio NI DAW
Personally, I don't use them so can't comment. People do seem to like them though. There's also some tape trick alternative you can do for free. I don't know what it is or how it's done, but I've seem some peeps talking about it around here in the past.nowaysj wrote:And so the fat pads, gents?
Re: Maschine users // Studio NI DAW
Yea. Same. Dunno. Machine has the best pads on a MIDI surface I've ever used. But I'm no finger drummer. I play one instrument in at a time.nowaysj wrote:And so the fat pads, gents?

Re: Maschine users // Studio NI DAW
Ya think? I like the padkontrol so much better. It is not smooshier, but it is so much more sensitive you can really feather hits and they'll still register and don't have to pound hits to get near max velocity.
Truth be told, I turn on max velocity a lot of the time

Re: Maschine users // Studio NI DAW
Yes. I use max velocity too. I don't disagree but it just never bothered me I guess. I kinda like pounding the pads...I'm not very dexterous that way so it works for me.
