A man walks into a bar with an octopus.
He says "I bet $50 that this octopus can play any instrument you have"
Guy walks up with a guitar. The octopus plays brilliantly, and the man puts $50 on the bar.
Next guy comes up with a violin. the octopus uses his tentacles to play harmonies that would be impossible for a human. Another $50 on the bar.
Instrument after instrument comes up, and the octopus plays them all masterfully, until finally a man walks up with a set of bagpipes.
The octopus grabs them, and is fumbling around. no sounds are coming out as he continues grasping at it.
the man turns to his octopus, and asks him "what do you think? can you play it?"
the octopus looks at him and says "play it?!?! are you kidding?!?! as soon as I get its pajamas off, I'm gonna fuck the shit out of it!"

wow i'm an assholeTerpit wrote:BloomingAudioLife wrote:Honestly, and this is absolutely pathetic. im still young, i understand i dont know much about making music, and i accept that. so i look up to those who are more experienced than me. nobody realizes it, but i literally look up to and follow so many people here on the DSF...follow their interests, their styles. thats why i feel "programmed" to dislike trap, modern dubstep etc, because for most on the DSF, for the people i've been on here with, those genres are less accepted. i discovered all these old genres, the original stuff, the roots of music. it all started here for me, and i learned so much through the dubstep forum. I just feel like im going to be criticized for going off and doing my own thing. and i know that i more than likely wont, im not even noticed on the DSF really. Sorry. I feel awful.Hypefiend wrote:how are you feeling like you are being programmed into hating "trap", "and all these modern genres"?!!?? who/what's exactly proselytizing you so easily you little insecure weak willed bitchBloomingAudioLife wrote:I was kind of accidentally making it...i would find a sample, or make a sound that i thought would go really good in a trap song. i'd throw together a rough project file and sell it to a buddy of mine who does make trap. i didn't like making it. i felt lesser because i spend so much time on here, i feel like its been programmed in my head to hate trap, and brostep and all these modern genres. but now, i like it. i like making it, it sounds good to me. it has a certain groove.Nevalo wrote:so, before, you were making it and didnt like it?

Logos played such a big set at fwd shame Visionist mainly played hip hop and trap.
