i agree the flute works v. well. it's a remix of part of the theme song from twin warriors (which jammer sampled for chinaman btw)Jurkhands wrote:even though twin warrior's chord progression is a bit on the basic side of things (aka every 80ies pop song, aka minor scale I-VII-VI-VII, aka E-D-C-D), it works really really well with the flute.
when it's used as a way to hide a shit track i agree it fools no one but tbh when producers like breen and jt use it i barely notice it's there it blends well doesn't stick out as unnecessary tbh i dont really mind it. i love gunshots thoMuncey wrote:Just wish this fad of gun shots and eski clicks was over. I actually prefer it to hide a shit track than ruin a good track. When you've got 15-20 producers all making tunes with eski clicks and gun shots or any other cliché grime sample you've gotta have a really good track to stand out against the rest. It seems sorta like a cheap and easy 'filler' thats tried and tested to go off in a dance (tried and tested far too much imo), its a little bit sheep like.. 'oh that went off, i'm gunna try it', which is fine but it seems like everybody is trying it, relentlessly. Often if you take those out and just leave the track as it is it'd be a hell of a lot better imo.dididub wrote:when it's used as a way to hide a shit track i agree it fools no one but tbh when producers like breen and jt use it i barely notice it's there it blends well doesn't stick out as unnecessary tbh i dont really mind it. i love gunshots tho
Na I like that, but you must see my point of how its just over powering and the song has no identity to the producer? Without soundcloud and the like if I heard that there is absolutely no way I could guess the producer, not because its something new and different, because it sounds very similar to what 10-15+ other guys have done/are doing. Its very similar to dungeon imo..Oil Gang wrote:I don't think you're going to like Oil Gang 008Muncey wrote:Just wish this fad of gun shots and eski clicks was over.
