[VIDEO] Stay Positive makes a tune in 10mins

Post by wub » Mon Oct 14, 2013 11:14 am

Against the Clock is a series on FACT TV where we give an artist 10 minutes in the studio and see what they come up with. Past episodes have featured xxxy, Thefft, KiNK, Sam Binga (twice), Artifact, Addison Groove, Ziro, Huxley and Roska.

Originally a loose collective, Stay Positive (also known as Stay+) has been quietly releasing atmospheric electronic music since 2011, with a series of self-released, Double Denim and Ramp Recordings singles to the project’s name.

Most recently, Stay Positive – currently Matt Farthing working solo – released ‘Crashed’ on Black Butter, home of Rudimental, Gorgon City and more. We headed to Farthing’s Shoreditch studio to watch him take the challenge.

That vocal sample sounded pretty decent apart from one section when it went off key lol Nice groove on the drums with the rim hits. The chord sequence sounded quiet generic though.

These videos are pretty insightful as ever. Nice one Wub.

I both love and hate when you post these. I really do think I can make a tune in 10 min, but all I come up with is shit.
