i'm considering getting one just for the pattern editor alone. I use the minibrute on literally every production project; this looks like a great addition...

The little mod matrix impressed me and three hundred bones new is a niiice price. The guy makes a fair point about Aturia really giving you a lot of options for the features they've included. But I wonder how much you can do with a single osc sometimes...that's one of the big things that always turned me off the MiniBrute.

@Sharm: What all do you use the MiniBrute for? Just mono leads and basses? Or you do you record and layer things in your DAW?

the arp is great, i use that for... wait for it... arp's a lot. hit record and play w/ the filter, release, etc and you've got an instantly-energetic element for the tune.

the white noise is great for risers, hats, drum sounds, etc.

lead layers and less-subby basses, absolutely.

overall it's a great tool, and i never feel like i'm stuck w/ just one oscillator. the control you have over the phase of teh square and the "metallizer," plus the waveform mixer, makes it quite rich.

it ain't a minimoog, no, but it also ain't $3500.

Dude, isn't it crazy to see analog again? It is crazy. It seems like the world has come to our tiny corner of the asylum.
