Yo thanks for dis. Think I'll check otu his new album. He's so inconsistent that I'm sometimes inclined to ignore a lot of his stuff, but when he's good, he's really fucking good.
good lord 14:00

thats the CV i know and love :U:

was gutted when all the tech guys started making 2step..
Yeah same, though it suits CV when he does it. When he's just grooveless SNARE AFTER SNARE AFTER SNARE AFTER HOLY SHIT MORE SNARES it loses all intensitie. Starts to sound like ambient music to me. I'm glad he chilled with that.
nah I'd rather a tune like "you cant play god" over something like "code of chaos" that tune was the last straw for me. thanks nanotek. :|
Nah nah nah, like I didn't mean shit like 'You Can't Play God', that one is dope and it grooves and it's INTENSE! There's just... tunes of his where it's literally just... almost blast beats. Snares in a pretty rigid rhythm. And that's when I think it stops sounding intense and gets boring.

Agree about 'Code Of Chaos' tho, that one is lame. I don't like tunes like that either. But to me, his newer album has more of a classic techstep feel with modern sound design. I dig it.

I generally think CV is really fucking hit or miss though. And there's rarely a very identifiable reason for it. Though I do steer fucking clear from his more melodic stuff. That's when his love of Linkin Park (seriously, he's obsessed with them) shines through and it gets cheesy.

Overal, I'm with you with what happened to darkstep and seriously wish more of the those guys would go back to interesting rhythms. 2005 - 2010 was a pretty good time for hard edger stuff.

Though THIS is a return to form for Limewax

The Rugby League World Cup is on at the moment in England & France. The games are timed well enough so that I can watch them live at breakfast. Watched Ireland and Fiji this morning, good stuff.
