went to see greg lord, floating points, dj barely legal, wookie, joy o, 4tet, caribou and madlib. doom didnt show up lol. madlib was boring as fuck. joy o was majorly disappointing, 2 much wack tekno. shame cos hes been inredible every other time ive seen him.

wookie / barely legal / floating points were the best by farrrrrrr.

people were actually smiling and looked genuinely happy to be there at the whp for once. didnt get evils off anyone and got a lot of thumbs up and cuddles etc haha. fucking miracle. normally people there just look gurny as fuck and pissed off with everything.

4tet dropped heartbroken by t2 after i was playing it off my phone before the gig which was weird haha

Splashed out a bit on a pair of Ortofon Pro cartridges to replace the stock Numark's. I love them.

Do the ortofon cartridges make a noticeable difference in anyway?

They certainly have for me, my top end was mad harsh with the stock carts, it's a much more balanced and clear now. They were about 4 years old to be fair..

Second, first time was just like-for-like. This is the first time I felt I could justify the expense what with being a student most of that time.

Being able to see every London firework display west of the City from my sofa.

Cooked a massive roast.

Set up all my music shit.

Watched 2 episodes of the Sopranos and a documentary on motherfucking Egypt.

Solid Sunday.

Blaring brostep out of some mini shox speaker for the entire office to hear.

I strolled over and asked if he was listening to ShittyFM.

Daughter was practicing piano, was playing a simple song she learned earlier in the year, and started playing really fast. She set the metronome to 170 and jammed out. Oh, you like one seventy do yah? Let me introduce you to... drum and bass! Haha!

And best part, related videos was an episode of Inspector Gadget, she cracked the f up.

Speaking of dad jokes.

I went in for a hug last night.
Ended up just lying on my son for 7 or so minutes, not even bothering to hug, just putting all my weight on him and lying there.

He eventually says, "Dad, this is becoming weird"
To which I replied, "you made it weird"
