Since I couldn't find a respectful dubstep remix of this track i figured I'd have a go at it. This is only my second crack at the genera although I've been tinkering with music production on and off for a number of years. Hopefully I did this one justice. Please hit me with a comment or like on the track. I appreciate any feed back, Thanks for listening.

Re: Moves Like Jagger [2013 DubStep Remix] - FREE Download
The into sounds a lot more like house than dubstep to be honest because you have the snare on beats 2 and 4. While this technique is effective at times, it takes away from the step aspect of dubstep and loses a lot of character. It's well produced and mastered no doubt but I think you could have chopped up the vocals better at some points so it sounds smoother. There is also very little low end on the track, even at the drop, which makes the track a bit clearer but also much less captivating. I don't feel the energy at the drop because it's mostly dominated by the vocals and there is very little bass sounds. In addition the bass sounds during the drop don't really match with the feel of the song. All in all I have nothing to criticize about the mixing and mastering but as far as energy, and arrangement, it needs some work.

I was trying to make it DJ friendly with the house intro. I totally get what your saying about backing the low end up with some sub-base. Good points all around and very helpful. Thanks, cheers.

Yeah I try to be as brutally honest as possible only because I wish more people were like that. Keep up the good work.
