I think I might understand what you're getting at. I get why dude was talking about RMS earlier since increasing the window length would sort of achieve what you're describing. Sounds like you're really just looking for a transient shaper if you wanna hit the faster peaks harder.
In any case, get Compassion since it has all of the above built in.

I don't necessarily want to hit the peaks harder, I just want to hit them accurately. I looked at the manual for Compassion and it doesn't quite have what I want (page 9 under the 'Attack' control description: http://dmgaudio.com/dl/DMGAudio%20Compa ... Manual.pdf). Nice compressor otherwise, cheers.
