Re: Having trouble trying to get your music noticed?
Obviously if they use a bidding system then it's obviously obvious that it is for a time span obviouslySunkLo wrote:mromgwtf wrote:Obviously a time span.SunkLo wrote:2 grand for how long? Is it a time span or a certain number of impressions?Evidently not that obvious. It could easily have been per number of impressions ya snarky pussywhiff

Re: Having trouble trying to get your music noticed?
You can't bid on a per-x-impressions basis?

I love how people start thread's like these, and never return to post.
Re: Having trouble trying to get your music noticed?
Only internet ad companies do that. If you want to be on a precised website, you buy a selected place on it for x days. (or bid)SunkLo wrote:You can't bid on a per-x-impressions basis?

Once you stop caring about 'making it big'..the sooner you'll start making better tunes..
I tend to see a load of very talented producers here..yet most sound so bland and lifeless..
Create from the soul..less from your mind..

Re: Having trouble trying to get your music noticed?
Basically what Gurnumsbug said.
Too many people work on getting their artist name around instead of working on their sound. Just because you can get promotion doesn't mean shit. You can accumulate thousands of facebook & soundcloud followers but to get genuine fans who respect you as an artist is difficult. Consistency with your sound helps develop that.
Look at monstercat. Hate to use them as an example but each tune they upload to their soundcloud gets easily +100k plays. But have you ever heard ANYONE play out a tune from that label? Are those artists touring? Do they really even have a fan base outside of the internet? If they one day were just erased from the internet, it would be as if they never really even existed.
Jus' sayin'.

What's monstercat?
Nope...it should be a choice because you like the music, not an obligation IMO.RmoniK wrote:follow4follow is respected?
Re: Having trouble trying to get your music noticed?
I reckon the best way is to just keep making tunes until your happy with what your coming out with, start sending them to blogs/djs
Repeat and send to bigger blogs/djs etc
Follow for follow is pretty weak I think, same for those people who like 1000s of tracks a day blatantly having not listened to any of them haha
