I've been trying some different sounds and trying experimental stuff lately. Let me know what you think.

on the first one- i like the idea definitely cool and ambient and the dark creepiness with that ambiance is really cool. the mix could use some work though. the kick could be clearer and deeper. maybe try side chaining the basses to the kick to free up some space and shifting the eqs on the bass up a little to create less overlap between to kick and the bass.

alos the snare could use some more pop. i like the high end that you put on it to contrast it from the bass but it needs some pop in the mid range. maybe add another snare and boost the mid frequencies a bit.
all in all a solid track for sure though.
as for the second one-
the orchestral instruments in the beginning could use some more reverb or something to give them a more live feel. and the snare could use some more low end punch in the reverb. also again (it might just be my speakers) but a really deep low round kick drum would be awesome.
love the orchestral blend though its great!

You are fucking awesome. Just because you are you. And because you look on this forum for music.

Thanks, I really appreciate the feedback on it. The first song used a live drum loop sample rather than a pattern arranged on a drum rack. I wanted to give it a more organic feel but it was hard eq'ing the sample to get it to pop. It's already sidechained a bit to give the transients a bit more air but there's only so much I can do without make it duck way too much.

I agree with the reverb on the orchestral bit. I had just gotten Kontakt at the time and wasn't quite as adept at blending in the orchestral parts. You're also right about the kick getting some more deep low end sound. I just need to layer a deeper bass drum and low pass it so it can give the kick some power. Thanks for the feedback!!!

I listened to the top one, nice work man. Love the synth work and melody here, felt the sub could have been a bit deeper/wider in the mix and the snare could have hit a bit harder, but other than that, really nice job.
