1 - its lazy sampling, should call it a remix if all you are doing is putting a drum loop and a sub on it imo.
2 - the 'sample' is from a chinese film. Why the fuck is it called japan? it just sounds chinese.... brb sampling the soundtrack of City of God and calling it Canada.
So if he named it a remix and called it China it wouldn't be shit?
Regardless of how amateur the tune production is (a lot of it was in that time, I think you can give him a bit of leeway and just call it being young and naive) its still a decent tune.
Cotti & Kromestar sampled Carl Off - O Fortuna and called it Mozart 3000.. we aren't short of dumb song names.
well both In Luv and Alicia are really remixes, but they are both so good who cares.
Japan is just a very good film score with a not very good bassline and drums on top, the only good part is the original music (would far rather listen to the original score).
Calling it japan was just the icing on the shitty cake.

I'm just saying that Keysound, like a lot of other labels, seems to slightly angle the style of the producers on their label towards their set of sensibilities. It would be cool to hear what Champion would sound like on Keysound is what I'm saying.
Like Beneaths 12 on tectonic sounds like a tectonic tune for example.
