Re: Working Out....
Tried a range of different tri exercises, most effective one for me is tricep pull downs with a rope. Feels like the most isolation I've got, and the best gains in strength/size.
Re: Working Out....
Weighted bench dips, overhead tricep extensions ss w/ underhand tricep pull downs, single arm tricep kick backs (don't know the correct term)
also this funky new one where you get a bench, lie below the tricep push down station and with an ez bar do a sort of reverse tricep extension until tension. Bit hard to describe, will look for a picture in a bit.

Re: Working Out....
Fair enough. The people I saw doing it were pretty hench so I knew there must be a something to it, I just couldn't work it outMolzie wrote:over head is a completely different movement. Also, I can't do the weight standing.Laszlo wrote:I've seen people do that thing in the video and I just think "why? You're taking up a bench for no reason".
Is it really that different?
Re: Working Out....
Yes, so you're pulling down rather than pushing up as you would with skull crushers.Molzie wrote:Like skullcrushers but with cables?wub wrote:Weighted bench dips, overhead tricep extensions ss w/ underhand tricep pull downs, single arm tricep kick backs (don't know the correct term)

Also, skull crushers.
Re: Working Out....
I'm confused. So you're lying on a bench with your head at the cable end and instead of extending upwards you're pushing out parallel to your body?

Lying on a bench. Ez bar attachment on a cable. Hold with straight arms out above you. Then sort of curl the ez bar back behind your head.
Re: Working Out....
It was time to up the calories. Upped them by 250 calories now and will check my progress in a week. Cuz I definitely stalled on massgains (though not on strength gains).
Dope.
Also doing my first ever front squat today.

Re: Working Out....
Thanks! Ddidn't go too well. Don't think I have the deltoids or chest yet to do them properly, or my arms are just too short. One of those things. The barbell kept relling off, meh.

Re: Working Out....
What grip were you using? Crossed or straight arm?
Re: Working Out....
I tried both, but the bar keps rolling off. When it was in a position where I felt like it would stay, it was crushing my collarbones. I'll take pain if I have to, but this just seemed like a little much.
I may give them another try next time. But yeah, any way I tried them, something seemed to hurt badly.
I even tried this:
Edit: my elbows were probably not high enough..
