2 seasons ago I was skiing out of bounds and ignored some "danger, CLIFF" warnings and hucked a 35 foot drop... which is uh 11 Meters or so... I skied away, but when I came down the compression messed up my back and cracked some ribs, and the ribs punctured a lung--so when I made it to the bottom of the run, I passed out and had to be life-flighted out in a Helicopter.Spaceboy wrote:you ever fucked up?
Now, I tend to only do crazy stuff like that when there is a camera and a ski patroller nearby to save my ass if I need saving.
I'd do it again in a heartbeat, though... That feeling of falling through the air and riding away was like being God for a while... I woke up in the hospital with a huge grin on my face, and an IV full of morophine in my veins. Good times.

it only took me a couple year before I felt really comfortable on black diamond terrain... after a certain point, it's more an issue of having the balls to just take it. Once you know how to ski and react quickly, all there is left to do is man-up and do itSpaceboy wrote:glad your here to tell the tale im sure!
for a non-skiier like me, although i plan to make my debut next year, watching all those xtreme sports heads doin their thing makes me wonder...how the hell do u practice to get to that level? anyway offtopic im sure...but Bigit
