I love Theo, but Mingus is playing other cats like a Steinway--pun intended.kozee wrote:What about Monk?irish wrote:totally agree with the love for Mister Hancock and his hunters but to experience the love of jazz there is no one above the Mingus...he plays his piano like he's spilling his guts out onto the keyboard!

Now you're trippin. There is nothing that counts more or less, other than in your own mind... Downtempo/jazz/nu jazz/funk... all these are what I initially got into music for... there is nothing wrong with kicking back to some smooth jazz.subframe wrote:All jazz counts. Except smooth jazz. You know how I do. I'm all about catering to every crowd when I play, as well... I play Heavy Lounge--I can get head nodding at a dinner table, people at the bar, and people on the dancefloor all jammin at the same time.gaff wrote:somthing for us ladies assasin?

Wow, dubstep forum just gets better...
It's all about Miles Davis for me. Personally, I think Porgy & Bess beats out on the Corner by some margin, but most people don't agree with me
