Jhumba Juice - ElectricHead(WIP) [160/bass/Jhumbapsy]

Post by Electric_Head » Mon Dec 09, 2013 10:43 am

Something new I've been working on.

Sort of crossing over between Footwork, DnB and all things psychedelic.
Comments and feedback are appreciated.

I always seem to have a kinda kid on xmas morning feeling every time I go to listen to your new work, just never know what its going to be.

And this did not disappoint!

Love that middle section, great cymbal/ride arrangement, mix sounded a little dry and flat for some reason, which is not something I usually think of your stuff, but none the less, great stuff.

Thanks for listening and giving feedback as usual man.

I am struggling with my audio interface at the moment and it is translating into my mixdowns unfortunately.
I have to push things more than I'd like because the volume is low due to the headphone amp.
That being said I appreciate that you will mention the issues as some don't.

I need to crank up the background a bit and raise the levels of some of the percussion to introduce more energy.
This track was a bit more of a challenge as loads of the atmosphere is sitting in very low frequencies so balancing them is a task.
But this seems to be the case with all my tunes, very busy resulting in a massive mixdown chore.
