Re: What is a 'brostep' snare
Oh god i didn't see the edit before.
If you're "avoiding" certain samples, production techniques, synths, etc, because some douche bags think they should be avoided, you're definitely doing something wrong. Just because they don't like it doesn't mean you should feel obligated to not like it either.
That said, if this is your way of producing, you're in it for all the wrong reasons. Definitely the most retarded thing i heard all week.

Lol dude, I am not saying I am avoiding it because some dude online said he didn't like it. I am saying the bad reception from some vet members made me realize that the brosnare is overused and generic as fuck. Music is subjective. I am asking this question because I want to avoid the generic brosnares in my mixes.

If you have to ask how it sounds, how can you find it generic? That makes no sense at all.re6ter wrote:RmoniK wrote:Oh god i didn't see the edit before.

Don't worry about sticking to "roots". Music stagnates when people try to abide by arbitrary rituals. I know you have noble intentions but try not to constrain yourself like that mate
Don't be afraid to make a completely Deep Medi-esque minimal tune and whack in a snare with 200hz blown through the roof, if that's what sounds good. You will earn respect from the innovators and disdain from the imitators, which is never a bad thing.

Melodic deepness from my mind.

Respect on this one. I hate seeing people produce with packs and pre-sets. Sometimes I feel all you need is Nexus and a Vengeance pack to get a top 10 theses days.SunkLo wrote:Real drums imo. If I want synthy drums I'll synth em myself.ehbrums1 wrote:909 >808 imo
