Anyone use the Livid Base?

Saw Jon Hopkins using some Livid Gear at a show, and looking into their stuff I found the Livid Base. Anyone have any experience with it? Been needing a new controller and this one looks perfect, but there's not too many reviews out there.

I remember seeing a review for it and getting hyped, and then watching it in use and being underwhelmed, can't really recall what was underwhelming, which is telling, but bumping on the off chance that I missed it.

Looks pretty sweet. I'd probably get a QuNeo instead though. Not big on touch faders, although they are convenient for remapping on the fly and not having to have some weird takeover mode. Solution to that would be motorized faders I guess Or rotary encoders of course, but I like the linear travel of a fader a lot more. This Base kinda looks like the little brother of the Push. I wonder if you could build something comparable with their DIY series. Would probably take a significant amount of coding to get the bi-directional communication going on.

Livid makes sexy gear but whenever I compare their prices to other similar hardware I can never justify it. Just barely too expensive/lacking in a certain feature.
