Just watched The World's End. To me it's easily the best Pegg/Wright/Frost film.
Very surprised it scores lower at imdb than the previous ones.

While on the subject of imdb numbers, how the funk is Zombieland a 7.7?

Are you debating on that fact that is too low or too high?

I hope its the former.

Metropolis.

You know, I'd seen this when I was younger but goddamn, so much was lost on me...

This movie is AMAZING on every level - technically, thematically, visually. I can't even begin to describe just how good, how obviously hugely influential and important this movie is. And it's crazy that it was made almost a century ago! :corntard:

Anchorman 2

I thought that the storyline of the first was better and easier to follow, but the one liners and cameos they had for this one were alot funnier.

The fight scene in 2 had me in stitches

Finally got round to watching the entirety of it in one sitting

and

I think I understand what it's about now. A little bit. Maybe

It's and experience to watch the whole thing anyway. One I enjoyed regardless of if I'm wrong about what I think happened plot wise and why.

The sound is fucking great.

The DV camera look though is a bit weird. I mean it works in someways at a bunch of points and certainly adds to the weird character of the film but at certain points in the film it just looks a little like a low quality stream and makes it look cheap.

movie of the year for me. some slightly gratuitous sex scenes but who's whining..

it takes a lot for me to stay awake through a movie if it sucks, this was three hours long and at some points i was actually on the edge of my comp chair. incredibly good, i expect this will win some awards next year for sure.

Any higher and it would approach Heat and the likes
They would have to extend the scale to at least 12 to get away with that.

Anyway, definitely liked it better than Hot Fuzz, Shaun of the Dead is a close call.
They all pretty similar and done really well though.

came out of The Delivery Man
attempting to regard every young person I encountered
as my child.
An admirable aim
but I could only maintain it for 10 minutes until I was exhausted.
A good film, if only for engendering a positive mood.
