EQ Modulation really necessary?

Post by Annex »

okay so like the title says, i've come to a point where i'm questioning if automating the bands on an eq is really all that good of a way to get more vowel type tones. In the few years i've been producing and making sounds like this i've found filtering to be a much better technique than fucking around with eq bands. Band Reject and Notch filters are bomb as hell and they don't seem to make a giant muddy shit pile like EQ mods do.

yeah but why add more on when you can already do it in the synth itself?
