It should be. :D
Suddenly, there was a terrible roar all around us, and the sky was full with what looked like huge bats, all swooping and screeching and diving around the car, and a voice was screaming:
Holy Jesus. What are these goddamn animals?

So is archangel a full song - type tune or is it just that vocal snippet we got on the myspace?

I hope there is a 12 with some of his unreleased stuff on it too, there were a load of tracks blackdown mentioned ages ago (sarcophagus is the only name i remember) that never saw the light of day. I have a feeling gaslight might have been ignored because bits of it are used in the jamie woon remix.

Anyone think this one might have a chance at some kind of mainstream success?

Hahaha, imagine if burial made a 48 second tune that good and the rest of the album was halfstep wobbles covered in Jah samples.

What i meant was, does he just take that one vocal thing and fuck with it more, or are there more lyrics.

whens this droppin?

love the way hyperdub keep their upcomin releases fairly secret, then boom hit you with the release info and then a couple of weeks later your spinnin 'em. like the last burial ep.

intresting that HD a label that keeps the hype to a minimum often has the most amount of speculation and anticipation surrounding it releases.

Missed the Archangel sample on Hyperdub.

Missed Martin at FWD.

God knows how I'll manage to stay out of the UK for so long.

I posted up this info on another forum.I love this guys comment.Especially the bit about Mary Anne Hobbs. What a knob he is.No prizes for guessing which forum it's on.

It's semi-stylish noise - it's like the audio equivalent of Carhartt

There's really nothing *there* though... and the lack of *something* isn't anything clever or interesting, it's just made by someone who's got a part of his mind missing and appreciated by others in the same boat

Do I honestly believe Marry Anne Hobbs likes it??? No, I think she just thinks it's cool to like it... And I'm sure she'd argue with me on that point, but deep down I know she'd know I was right

Later on in the discussion

Warren - "quit crying

i'll tell you the battleground where my remarks always stand true: the battleground of time

it takes some people years to see what's obvious to others...

i always say, subjectivity is an illusion, taste is an excuse... his stuff is objectively bad music which appeals only on the most superficial level... no one's stupid enough to like it longterm"

Warren -
"Hey Warren, how can you be so sure all the time? I mean, you arrogantly stated that the PS3 would fail about 3 years ago - against all public and even market opinion back then - also, all the stuff you criticise, people forget you criticised it because they stop listening to it... isn't it frustrating always being right yet always being "wrong"?

Well, I learnt from one of the greats how to spot one of the oldest imposters in "art"

As a serious artist, you have to understand the difference between modernity and momentary

Any real art can have nothing in common with momentary, and when you learn to spot that, you're never wrong"

"Oh yeah, I loved the *sound* of his album

I mean I can happily listen to it with my brain switched off... unlike a lot of this overprocessed, super clean crap which passes as dnb and house these days

Certainly no worries there... and that's why I wanted to like it so much

But, same here, I was interested in what he was doing; listened to it for a bit with optimism; then realised it was sludge"
