nuff respect for all the hard work that must have gone into this, so much more time consuming than just making tunes.
sounds smooth, n i really like some of the bits in there.
i only have one piece of constructive criticism for u, and i'm assuming ur makin this so that u can play out live infront of an audience rather than studio.
don't get me wrong i enjoyed it alot, but i felt that at points it got a bit boring. a dj has got an advantage over someone doing a live set on hardware cus they've got a bag full of incredibly varied music and with minimal effort they can completely change the vibe if the crowd looks bored.
at times i felt that the sound palette was getting a little bit thin, which is obviously a major limitation of using hardware live unless ur using a sampler with a massive memory bank...
if u really felt u wanted to stick to the no laptop thing then maybe a few extra pieces of kit, and keeping in mind that the audience is gonna get bored faster than u are (cus ur keeping busy fiddling with buttons) will do the trick.
but i wouldn't personally throw away the laptop just because u wanna be oldschool
. if u had ableton running with a few of ur software-written tunes to throw in that were very different i think it would work much better as a varied whole
anyway keep it up, there's a big space for decent livesets in dubstep at the moment.
