Our first release of 2014 on MindStep Music sees the welcome return of Trashbat, who’s debut EP was incidentally our first release of 2013!
He has been hard at work in the studio recently and the result is another very special collection of tracks, which further highlights his sound. We proudly present the HANAKO EP, some of Trashbat's best work to date!

Opening track Dreaming Of Fiji starts things off with warm tones and a hazy skank, supported by upright bass sounds and smooth keys - definitely reminiscent of a desert island relaxing, perhaps with a cocktail in hand!
Shifting moods somewhat, The Principles Of Evil Made Fresh has a more intriguing atmosphere with deep chords and brass licks riding on a measured 2-step structure - this one for the deep thinkers...
Next up bouncy guitar strokes nestle among soothing pads in the title track Hanako - a fresh springtime roller that shows great musical progression throughout!
Shine is a bubbling, jubilant riddim that harks back to Koanashi EP material, focusing on vibrant jazzed out chords and laid back vibes!
Rounding off the release, Ardent is a collaboration with recently released MindStep artist Vaun which balances their styles perfectly - an eyes down mover with unmatched deepness and memorable sampling which will make this an instant favourite!
