A lot of the time it seems like people are in a race against each other to have the least amount of fun possible with stuff that isn't cool.

I've been browsing /k/, the 4chan weapons board, and they've been going nuts over the recent Florida theater murder. This one guy who was a former police officer who killed a guy because he was throwing popcorn at him and texting his daughter or something, and most of them think it's completely justified. They have to be absolute psychopaths to think this. Texting in movie theaters is annoying and some people might take action for it, but shooting someone over it is in no ways ok. I remember browsing /k/ before the Aurora theater shooting, and it was a more friendlier and fun site to browse, but now it's been taken over by pro-gun nuts who think they're superior over everyone and SHTF nutjobs who think the happening will happen soon.

As I understood it;
Man A was texting
Man B asked that he not
[Argument]
Man B stormed out to get a manager
Man B returns without a manager
[More argument]
Man A throws popcorn at Man B
Man B shoots Man A
Man B claims self defense

no, it's just cos they're having a discussion on the internet, and even worse, on 4chan.

Wasn't the shooter a 70yr old man as well?
Probably had swollen monkey balls that needed relieving.

What's even worse is that they're basically praising this guy, and believe he shouldn't be accused of murder. They think throwing popcorn is assault, but they're just praising every of this man's actions in the shooting. Then again, they have a pro-gun hivemind, and will praise anyone who's pro-gun or kills someone in "self-defense", no matter how stupid their actions were.
And Electric_Head he was about 73, was a former cop too so instincts might have flipped.

This is the scary thing for me.
Cops are trained to be controlled, they really aren't though.
Flipping out like this over such an insignificant thing.

That's the thing with gun rights obsessed people. On one hand, they'll say they're all for safe, responsible handling etc. But at the same time they have such a trouser-tent for situations where you can justifiably shoot someone. It's creepy.
Gun rights 'muricans also have some of the most retarded arguments of all time. Like, that their founding fathers "knew" the government would inevidably end up trying to enact marshall law, so the people need to be strapped so they can resist. Like a couple joe schmoes with guns in their bedrooms are what's keeping America from becoming totalitarian.
