Invert the phase on the changed document then layer it with the original copy. The word waves will cancel each other out and you'll be left with only the changes.

Didn't work m8, this is only on office 2007, so I think it's a maximum 192kbps .docx file.

will it only work with wav quality .docx files? do i need a plugin?

thanks for the great advice, almost 6 years working in IT and I never thought to do that. I dunno what's in the table to search for any exact words, and I suspect the only exact word that I know is gonna be in it probably appears over a thousand times in the document
