official froobs review:

hmm the whole time i wa s in the club i was absolutely turbo mitzi'd and very 530blazed so my memory is kinda foggy.

good points: at the start he was playin some nice funky chilled old house type groovy stuff, no idea what it was, enjoyed those tunes the most. loefah was being a cheeky geezer as usual and lashing out the fist bumps. fit barmaids. decent sound so didnt leave with destroyed ears. loads of my mates were there and saw some old friends :U: . saw like 3 fights, my mate stole a flat cap from one of them. my friend tried to get a drink of this stoner kids macdonalds milkshake but he was gurning too hard and this kid went white, pissing ourselves like ffs help the guy here out he's not infected he just cant control his jaw  . my mate rob must have insulted at least 60% of the female population of the pub, his pulling techique is just straight up abuse.

bad points: they had fucking annoying strobes on ALL night and i forgot my rave sunglasses so i was like ffsssss cant see anythigngggggggg. hatin the fact scotland closes at 3 am :/. zero dubstep except for that one with trigga. not enough gully #baselines too much duff duff. scottish people arent friendly, couldnt take the #banter (or they didnt like being insulted constantly)

after the groovy stuff at the start ended it was tech house all night. didnt recognise any tunes because i never listen to the swamp show anymore. its not raelly my thing tbh but it was fun :).

I really enjoyed it and as you said the stuff he played for the first 30mins or so was great. Definitely too much swamp stuff (was probably around 2 and a half hours of it) and I'm a big fan of the swamp stuff. Good night though, place was jumping

Well, I thought a 4 hour set would give him the chance to experiment and mix it up, a bit different from the sets he plays every weekend and every single week on radio, use the 4 hours to play records he doesn't normally get the chance to, just seems a bit lazy to me.

Yeah that makes sense, although I guess considering running Swamp is the main reason he was booked it would be weird not to play some stuff.

well he just plays swamp stuff and swamp has been getting more and more tech house-y in the past year and a half or so. that being said there are some absolute choons getting rinsed by the swamp guys but i couldnt stomach 4hrs of it, would want a change after an hour or so

Oh of course, as I've said, I'm a big fan of the swamp stuff and I expected him to and was looking forward to hearing all of the new swamp stuff on the system, just not the entire night. I just thought the idea of a longer set was the chance to experiment and play different stuff than usual, throw in a few surprises, not just the exact same tunes but for a few hours longer?

I had a great night and Loefah killed it, was just a bit disappointed and started to get a bit bored as it became predictable as the night went on. Thought this kinda set would even give Loefah a bit of a break from the exact same tunes.

Yeah I agree with you, was just pointing out the inclination to play Swamp stuff.

hes always just played swampy stuff at swamp nights most of the time. although, swampy stuff used to be a lot more interesting, i still listen to some of the old 2k9-10 kinda era stuff

personally im not really a fan of the new stuff. especially not since ive been dragged to swampy nights for the past few years. i got a bit bored towards the end too, its just a bit predictable

although some SLO tunes wouldnt have gone amiss that night, Obsidian is really underrated

still it was hilarious fun trip. and was nice 2 see loefah acutally enjoyin it, ive seen some well sullen DJs recently

also the sign outside said "leofah"
