Jizzy, repeep, or peep the pause, or the game over music from gears of war 1. This is dope. Some arrangement issues, as always with you! but this is highly dope. More to say later.

ah yes, Arrangement... the Lex to my Luger. the pause was an accident but I felt like keeping it, my guts implored me to keep it so I did :?

your tune is on some mad footwork vibe. the kicks were punching right through me, very nice indeed. Though its a repetitive style of music, I still feel its bit too repetitive so yeah thats what I reckon it needs, a few more chops for variation. I gotta add, Flop Sweet #1 is great mane, really feeling the waves off that one :Q:

psych, thats some sad sad shit. I hope you're alright m8 :( percussive variation maybe, get a couple elements in there that would really set the beat rolling off into Arabia

Haha, me telling someone to work on arrangement! It's just a tad ironic!

In my defense on this one: was working on this and something serious came up. At 11 at night I went to shut off my pc, and was like I better save this, and was like OH SHIT! So stuck a couple of sections together a rendered it out :(

But my question, can you make something like this, and have it not reference footwork? I don't listen to footwork, and stuff like this predates, but I don't know. My q is, can u make something like that, and have it not be considered footwork?

Floosweet - yeah, made for a prior incarnation of the TUNA! Was played live in live. But it was the worst performance of it! So pissed. Was supposed to be call flop sweat, but I even misspelled it, thought it appropriate. :(. Wishing still had my Apc. That was Apc, maschine as controller and mpk all controlling stuff.

Thanks for your thoughts!

hmm yeah i was wondering if the footwork-y vibe was intentional, but that does explain the lack of snares hahah. to be honest this is more original than a lot of footwork today cos like any genre that starts to trend, footwork's starting to get a bit formulaic

@psychs420 def agree with jizzman some more changes def nice i mean now you can take it whereever you want you arent restricted to that nice sample pack maybe some reeces or chants?

@fragments def dig the fx again and ambience but not sure about the drums. could see a squarepusheresc drumsetting like really fast idmdnb instead. but yeah just personal preference. really dig the wierd reecy hooverish sound ahha so offsetting

@sad dead fox vibe
agree with jizzman again def gets a tiny bit repetitive
but the whole groove works so if finishing is a real matter i would say make it even wierder and jumpier in the beat structures

@Jizz: Haha, glad the name fits. I was uploading it to SC and was like...what to name this? Dunno how I even ended up with that name ... hint: :R: Barking dogs for bonus points? I can dig it. The neighbors have noisy ass dogs, shouldnt be a problem.

@Bud: Cheers man, Ive worked a lot on ambience, vibes, atmosphere. The hoover/reese is actually a combo patch combining the microbrute and mopho, then FX of course. Love Philter in FL Studio is pretty much a one stop moving bassline monster.
I wasnt super stoked for the drums on this one, but pulling a Fanu style drumfunk beat...might just do this tune justice.

will get yall some lovin on these tunes asap, they deserve better than my tablet speakers though.

Hey bud, frag, psychological doctor, how do the kicks sound to you? I'm so uneasy about my monitoring. Don't trust it at all now. I really don't know what is going on. What is your opinion of the kicks from my track this week? Are they punching?

I dunno Nowaysj, kicks sound pretty tight to me. Like how much punch do you want them to have lol? Id say you arent hearing something correctly TBH. Is this a Machine beat? Nice old school kick sound IMO. None of that modern BS where the kick and snare basically sound the same. Hats are fap worthy, kinda like beetle drumming on my spine. That track is nervous as shit. Highly recommended for inducing The Fear while dancing in a sweaty, dark room.

pyscho420: Digging the deep minimal vibe on this. Defo agree that the drums need some more activity. Get some ghostly hand drum patterns or some clicks n clocks n what not going.

Well, I don't know how much there is there. I think it punches pretty okay. But what I'm hearing is not what I get, you know. How much would I like? I'd like my kicks to knock you doors down. You know? The last thing you experience is the sound of your skull crushing.

fragments wrote:Id say you arent hearing something correctly TBH.
Yeah, definitely not hearing correctly. I'm not saying there is no punch there, but I don't know if it is coming through on other speakers.

Not maschine, all sounds are out of that nwj dsf#42 sample pack. And they're all built in audio.

Yeah man. I'm onto some staggering, stressed out, urgent vibe. It's my groove. :)

I think you have a tasteful punch going on. Not knocking down my doors or loosening my bowls. I listened on headphones (AKG 240). And the kicks were solid in the mix. Dat vibe is like some crazy k hole shit my man. Dig. Dig. Its a special taste, but when you want that taste...nothing else will do ;p

Yeah it's a good punch. You don't want too much punch.
Sounds like you've been listening to Meshuggah.

yeah for me its like you dont have to focus on the bassdrum anymore like it justs happens underneath
atm it interacts but i think its enough to escort (in this case) :?

That's a little confusing for me. Bottom line form what I read from that is that the kick lacks punch, it is just laying there underneath other elements? It escorts, it goes with, but does not drive? Push? I'd like some push from the kick. I'm about to go in there. I'll probably be posting up this track again this week, w/ further developments.

haha what i mean is the bassdrum doesnt need high freq to punch through in your tune. most of it happens in the low freq so i say try to cut it harsh and see what it changes or if it changes anything
