RASTABOX Free dub noisemaker VST KVR Developer Challenge!!!!

Post by lithium72 » Fri Sep 21, 2007 5:24 pm

I just wanted to tell everybody about my entery for the KVR Developer Challenge 2007. It's called Rastabox and I created it for making dubby, spacey, sci-fi noises. Rastabox can make anything from classic dub siren to all kinds of vintage video game sounds.
Rastabox is intended for live on the fly recording and performance, so tweaking the speed and depth knobs as you play will produce nice results. I kept it simple but it can produce some really nice fat sounds. Applying tape delay, reverb, phaser, ect. will also enhance the sound. I also included 32 presets for tweaking.
This plug-in took me a long time to make Rastabox. So if you like it and find it useful, please vote for me...

Good work!

I know how hard this kinda thing is, I wrote had to write a simple VST soft synth for my degree course!

Any chance of an AU Version for us Mac users?

Best of luck with the competition!

Nice.

And sorry to plug the opposition in your thread, but the Xoxos' Sounds of Nature entry is fantastic too, although it's a bit of a challenge to get any noise out of the birdsong one beyond the presets.

I really like it, using it in the tune I'm making now as it happens, 'get the phone' is proving a little ring with some delay on it, nice work, voted you a five at the top. :)

Thanks alot for your work too, my housemate makes vsts, hours of frustration but well worth it in the end, superb! 8)
