New 160bpm Hybrid - Disguise

Post by Badform » Mon Jan 20, 2014 10:10 am

Started producing a couple of months and so have not grasped even 5% of the potential thats there for me, the track is at 160bpm with the first section sounding more like dubstep and the final sounding like drum and bass.

Im really feeling this man. Its got the sorta vibe that Jubei ft Flowdan - Say Nothin has. One thing I would say though is your drums sound a bit squashed... Especially in the first drop. If you could bring them forward more it would round it of nicely in my opinion. Other then that I love it. the switch up to DnB sounds really good aswell.

Agreed with the drums, towards the end I was feeling so picky about every minor detail that I guess i neglected more obvious elements, thanks for taking the time to listen !

nice dub phizix style rumbling bass. vocal samples are nice. agree with the comments about the drums during the first part. i feel the drums could do with some variations or fills to spice things up a bit and some more percussive elements to fill up the highs wouldn't go amiss i think. i feel sometimes that speech sample makes things sound a bit too busy and unpolished

Agreed, after listening to something so many times its hard to sometimes figure out what sounds good and hard to draw the line to stop adding more elements. Much appreciated for the comments and I think where i am at the moment its probably better to take the advice onto another track instead of keep modifying my first ever production. Thanks again!

hell yeah man this is pretty damn good especially if you've only been producing for a few months. keep it up and you'll continue to grow!
