Old samples?

Post by R3b_Official » Sat Jan 25, 2014 7:05 pm

Can you guys help me out with something?
Im looking for new sample for a tune and want to get on clip from around the early 1900's. The audio sounds muffled and was in a lot of the war advertisements that would be broadcasted by a man speaking of what is going on in the war or something along in the news at the time. Sorry if this sounds vague but the only thing that reminds me of this sort of thing was a game i played when i was little. Was pretty kick ass back on the old gamecube.

(3:05-5:09) This is the sort of thing im looking for, the way the recording of the voice is being played and then an old chip tune in the background. Dont know how to actually define this or what to search. I looked up videos of the 1900's and a few old presidents and wars but all i found was pictures with some shitty music playing behind it. Looking for the same sort of accent speaking throughout a sample and even better with a chip tune behind it. I can figure out the key and what not later. I know this could be remade but how could i replicate this sort of old style? Maybe high passing a vocal and some brass or trumpets playing something and layer an old film reel playing and play that all together?

Thanks guys :6:
