Gross beat how's the best way to say it... On phone too hard to say.... Ultimately changes the playback of audio, so yeah you can glitch in interesting ways, allows pitch modulation as well as jumping around a buffer in a very intentional way. I love to put it on hats and snares for little slushy playback slow downs, grab individual hits and bend, or an early version of the drum buss to reorder hits that can later be sliced and further manipulated.

Bottom line, it is the best buffered audio fx I've found. It is not explicitly about repeating glitches, though you can do that, but just the ability to move around in a playback buffer.

If anybody has any other glitch or fsu or weird fx, please share. I've got a category of fx in my daw called texture, and it easily has 10 times the plugins of any other category. :) These plugins are seen as less desirable, so are almost always free, and back in the earlier days of vst land these were abounding as developers honed their chops. Talking like Jack Dark, destroyfx, smartelectronix, ArcDev, etc, etc, etc.

I wish Variety of Sound would quit with the mixing plugs, and get on with some fsu. NastyDla is a very quality delay. I wish he'd work in that direction for a while. Sound design type plugs.

@fragments love everything besides the bassy sounds this time i personally would drop them totally the whole vibe is so smooth but than the basses put me of. the sub is nice though just the other basses :?

@psych love the chillout stabs ♥ and the whole vibe but i am not too keen on the kick would love to hear a slow 808 or sth instead like one kick snap sound hi hats roll really nice or maybe start the faster kcik when the gating pad starts right at the start i think its too early. really nice progression though

@jizzman really nice dunno what to change honestly :W:

@bud hello

@nowaysj love the vocals would drop with the second drop way more impact imo not sure about the first beat part (piano for later) though maybe cut it off just personal opinion. but after that it gets really nice

I know right, what is that section doing there?

I put that whole thing up, only out of respect for you guys :) sometimes we crash a project. It is how it goes.

Yeah, I like the early reverberant sine line, the later snare sound, and just vapors of sections of that bass... this track is at where track start for me. Like there are three parts that I like, and I'd start my investigation there. Ch'know?

I think I'm going to send those vocals to you for your special vocal capabilities. I can't hear pitch. And the rhythm is jacked up. I'll put them in a space, you just get them in key and tempo and majik fucked up. F minor and 140 bro, expect a zip! :)

Thanks for the thoughts man. Yea. I wasnt really sure about those twisted midrange bits. Do they just sound poo overall or do they just not fit the vibe of the tune? Like many people ive been chasing twisted basslines for a while...old dnb head...lol i was quite happy w the subby bass myself.

The bass as is, I think sucks in relation to the track. It is just sitting there on top, distinct, unblended rhythmically, sonically. I made a comment on your sc track, I think that bass can serve as the basis of something, but it will need to be pushed far and hard. It is just the beginning. The track otherwise, is just nice and chill.

Duely noted. So glad y'all give honest feedback.

Edit: I mostly forget sound cloud exists. I'm used to exchanging feedback in PMs

EditEdit: really gonna dig in next week :Q:

yeah i would take the short bass stabs and save them in a folder for basses. this way you can sneak them in in a dif project

Oh, I hear you! I do a lot of desctrutive editing so I always have 2-5 project files for one track. Im also a tidiness fiend and like to sum things and get rid of active VSTs whenever I can. So that plays a role as well.

BTW, an of you doing February Album Writing Month 14 songs in 28 days :6:

fragments, definitely bring out those drums more. i'd say with the midbass cut and modulate a bit more to get it playing a proper groove

psych, the kick s the weakest element in your track imo, get something a bit rawer and less compressed/vengeance-y i'd say, because this drum just sticks out a bit too much from the overall warm vibes of the tune

bud, those chords are niceee, get some proper deep-voiced rapper on that, like Andre 3000 or something. this'd be sick with a Ms Jackson acapella hahah

noways, this ones delicious, after-hours cruising vibes. mess with that first midbass more imo, the second one is sickk but the first ones a bit err... "shallow", if that makes sense?
