Actress - Ghettoville
Re: Actress - Ghettoville
The price for the box set is so outrageous even I, an acknowledging OCB hipster, am not tempted to get it. The album is great though...the 3xLP I'm willing to dish out for.
Re: Actress - Ghettoville
Yeah, the pricing is pretty appalling. It's £50 on the Ninja site. I ordered it from there.

Mine arrived today and its fucking brilliant. Lovely package. Vibing to Ghettoville right this second.
Strange that the first 9 tracks of Hazyville are squeezed on one vinyl then the last 2 tracks get a side each of the second vinyl. Anyway big up Darren Cunningham, excited to hear whatever project he does next.

Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds.
Re: Actress - Ghettoville
listened to it a lot the last few days
i think the brilliance is how he manages to apply his approach to so many different styles, even stuff like memphis hip hop (forgiven would not sound out of place on an old three 6 tape...), and yet i feel its all so tied together by the aesthetics he creates in the tracks that it's still really coherent.
might end up liking it even more than RIP
