No not at all. I'm just saying that be willingly ignorant about an artist when someone disagrees with you on it and making shallow image/scene based judgements on an artist they don't even belong to even after someone has said that it isn't the case is dumb. Gareth has even said that I "take it personally" when someone doesn't like something I do which again is completely missing the point of what this is about. I don't give a fuck what people like or don't it's just like he's determined to stick with his first statement regardless of it being pretty far off target and based on such a quick and shallow judgement.

That's based on probably a decades worth of trying to find good UK Hip hop and largely failing though. It was also based on specific observations regarding things like lyrical content, technical ability, production style and overall of effectiveness of specific tracks you posted which to me were inferior versions of stuff that was done by American artists a long time ago. I wish it wasn't the case. I'm not trying to hate on my own countries music scene for no reason. It's based on informed judgement built up over a long time. I went and saw UK rappers when they played in Plymouth, I have mates who play loads of UK hip hop as djs but still I just think the vast majority of it isn't very good. Jehst being one of the few technically skilled rappers from the UK

It's not. It's giving my own opinion on it or debating about the artist in question. People can listen to whatever they want. It isn't going to stop me from saying it's shit if I think it is though. Also I try to make an informed judgement on it and honestly if someone could prove to me I had the wrong end of the stick on an artist I would admit it but the point is that I'm going to say something that is relating to the music itself rather than talking the scene or image associated with it first.

Something Icnic is especially bad with calling stuff brostep or five pannel. Even Terpit said Merzbow was brostep once which makes no sense.

It's not even about that though. It's about Gareth belligerently sticking to a weird shallow judgement about image and Mason getting upset I don't like a load of the hip hop he does still.

Also as much as I'm down with hot girl posts that shit normally gets threads locked.

(and Crystal Casltes are horrible, Gareth target your hipster bashing at them please)

So

On topic the new Dreamweapon - Living In Hell On Earth EP on Opal Tapes is decent (I think it may have been out a month or two and is only now just making it to stores or something, confused over the release date on it)

Honestly can't believe you still kept going on about one, off hand comment at the end of a very concise, immediate review.

Chelsea Wolfe could look exactly like my girlfriend, support Birmingham City and the Indianapolis Colts, and think Night Tracks is the best thing to ever happen to the world, I still wouldn't like her MUSIC. Mate, I think her tunes are whack. I think her image is actually quite cool and it fits what she's trying to do. But the tunes, IMO are whack.
