They do have some good tunes though. Id much much rather listen to their stuff and ilk like it that some of the bloody awful stuff like Avicii for example.
I mean I cant see how its any worse than Craig david or Daniel beddingfeild or whatever, they only reason people will dance about to that at a house party is nostalgia and that was just as "pop" back then as Disclosure is now.

yeah i sort of get you, but at least daniel beddingfield & craig david etc had a bit more character. The music is unoffensive and alright, if a bit dull. Like you said, could be much worse

Even i did 'like' Settle, i think that says enough. But the problem with such music is that isn't strong enough to be not forgotten the next year.

Ah yeah good point. I don't know how "timeless" Running or Whats in your head or whatever will be compared to the above in 5-10 years time.

This one I posted earlier in the thread is so so whack.

Intro - Verse - Chorus - Bridge - Chorus - Chorus - Chorus - Chorus - Chorus - Chorus - End. Top 10 whackest tune of the last 5 years. She is usually on point in the pop game though.

Tbh, Beyonce's always repped a bit of feminism, but I think the combination of her Chime for Change thing last year and the Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie speech in Flawless have set tongues wagging a bit more recently. Apparently she's not a real feminist until she becomes asexual though... real feminists don't have clitorises and certainly don't engage in light-hearted gender-role banter with their husband, because he's, like, a fucking man and shit.

fun fact: JTs bit in Give It To Me is basically a diss at Prince because he took the piss saying that Timberlake couldn't bring sexy back because it never left.
