The Official Growl Bass Thread
Re: The Official Growl Bass Thread
If you feel comfortable their are a decent amount of FL users in this thread. You can post the FLP. I've been on here for a while now, and I can say when people post project files it's generally a lot easier. Though the ALS people would be pretty pissed lol. (I don't think their are many if any at all Reason & Logic users in this thread as well) But, do whatever is easier.
Re: The Official Growl Bass Thread
Well that's the thing... its hard doing that because I have 32-bit OS so my plugins wont match if I give away the flp..IamDroid wrote:If you feel comfortable their are a decent amount of FL users in this thread. I feel by giving you guys some screenshots and info on it ... it would result in a better and more personal style of growl ya know? I listened to Barely Alives growls and that's how I achieved mine.. There are many ways to do it, its just all about finding that path to get you to a good quality growl.
Re: The Official Growl Bass Thread
You achieved those just by listening and trying to replicate them? God damn! Congratulations lmao. But yeah I feel you on that. Though most people have 32 Bit plugins, just so you are aware. They have 32 bit because when doing collabs it's usually more of a pain in the ass if someone has 64 and the other has 32 since 64 is compatible with 32, while 32 is compatible with 64 since its a higher bit. But, post the screens and information you would like to add whenever.OmegaMode wrote:Well that's the thing... its hard doing that because I have 32-bit OS so my plugins wont match if I give away the flp..IamDroid wrote:If you feel comfortable their are a decent amount of FL users in this thread. I dig the growl but could you also sort of explain the synth you're using? A lot of bigger producers use similar ones and I was wondering how to achieve that sort of sound.Draastex wrote:Hey guys i made this growl check it out. I even put together a little clip. Yeah the lead is literally just two sine waves in massive one +12 and the other -36 wt position on both all the way to the left and then a p shaper drive max and full wet. Then restart via gate on dat bish and a comb filter (tweak to your liking) and throw an envelope on the osc pitch +12 for the first and +36 for the second. make sure the envelope has a very short attack and decay and boom there you go.Shageed wrote:Holy shit this is good! Here is a very vowely growl i've been working on:
Soundcloud
Here is a track i've incorporated my growling techniques into:
Soundcloud
Specifically 0:13, 0:18, 0:29, 0:33 are my proudest growling moments.
Take a listen, tell me what you think. Its a really successful and refined process

Also will you quote where the person said this? I cant find it and i've been trying to recreate that "otter" bass sound, closest i've come is modulating the pitch and wt position of an ai with a bend 1 and saw tooth but its nowhere near as close as it could be >_<Musick wrote: and that someone else got to dissecting hookjunior's growl before he posted any tips on here..
Re: The Official Growl Bass Thread
When we say "Otter bass sound" we're talking about what HookJr uses right?Labco wrote:Also will you quote where the person said this?
