After 7 incredible years of Liquid Steel Sessions, we are marking this milestone with a celebration of soundsystem culture with some of the brightest and boldest artists in the UK playing on the mighty Liquid Steel Soundsystem.

Topping the bill is hugely talented grime legend Flowdan. An original member of the notorious (Roll Deep) crew whose members included the likes of Dizzee Rascal & Wiley, Flowdan has more recently brought his yard-style vocal delivery to some of the darkest and heaviest dubstep riddims. In particular, his work with industrial dubstep pioneer The Bug produced a series of anthems including Jah War, Skeng and Stampin’. More recently, Flowdan has collaborated with our second headliner Kahn on the massive ‘Badman City’ as well as performing with a full orchestra for SB.TV.

KAHN & NEEK are one of the most prolific and exciting production duos in the UK right now. Both accomplished producers in their own right, with Kahn signed to Mala’s Deep Medi label, the Bristolians showed they could cut it with the best when their soundboy obliterator war dub came second only to JME in the recent Lord of the Beats contest. The pair have also made inroads into the UK Dub scene with their alter-ego GORGON SOUND. Producing some of the most bass heavy and raw dub out there, they have been invited by the likes of Iration Steppas to play their unique and impressive take on soundsystem tradition. It is with great pleasure that we have both styles playing to truly represent the rich history of soundsystem in the UK. Seriously heavyweight.

CHECAN is well known in these parts for his involvement in the legendary Bunga Bunga parties. However, since his move to the capital, the Sheffield born artist has received wider recognition with releases on Unknown to the Unknown and his fortnightly show on worldwide Bass station Sub.FM. Known for putting a jacking, steel city influence into his remixes, Checan’s sets are packed full of exclusives and we’re expecting him to set our birthday celebrations off perfectly.

ROOM 2

The second room is by no means a chilled out affair so if you’re looking to catch your breath from the madness of the main room you will only find the hypest Soca, Dancehall & Bashment curated by DJs FRENZY D & DUTCH from our sister night, Clarks.

THE DUTTY INSPECTORS are another DJ & production duo out of Bristol now focusing on music all the way over in Trinidad and other Caribbean islands. Pushing the up tempo sound that is Soca, Dub Boy & Atki2 are hugely knowledgeable DJs blending a combination of Tropical Bass & Soca to create a hyped up, carnival atmosphere. The second room is going to get hot to pack a towel and make sure you’re wearing your soca legs for this one!
