Record a video of yourself downing a drink. Nominate two mates to do likewise. They then have to continue the chain.magma wrote:Can someone explain this NekNominate thing to me? I appear to have lost touch with the kids.

My buddy got iced right after his nomination.nowaysj wrote:Would rather be icing, tbf.
The guy who iced him obviously got nominated, so he chugged two beers and half a pint of vodka while getting pelted with snowballs.

Old news but.

Teton School District administrators said there has been no enforcement of a ban on Rastafarian colors in the schools, but some students and parents at Teton Middle School say they’ve been asked to remove bracelets and stickers and have been told not to use the combination of green, gold and red in art projects.
On April 20 the district hosted Boise Police Officer Jermaine Galloway who gave a presentation on the signs and symbols of drug and alcohol abuse. While Galloway explained no one thing automatically has a drug or alcohol message, he mentioned Bob Marley and Rasta colors as a reference to marijuana.
Seventh grade students Anna Cavallaro and Sofie Heinen said after the presentation, they’ve been asked to remove bracelets with Rasta colors. Heinen said in her art class they were working on a project where they wrote their names in graffiti. She and a few friends used the red, green and gold combination on their art and she said they were told not to use those colors and asked to redo it.
“They think it’s a drug reference,” said Cavallaro.
After hearing Galloway’s presentation, high school science teacher and soccer coach Dan Romano went back to his classroom and took down a poster of Bob Marley playing soccer. He said he didn’t have it up as a tribute to Marley, but just thought it was cool there was a picture of Bob Marley playing soccer.
“I didn’t want to take any flack,” said Romano. “I know how this valley can be and how that message can get received. I got rid of it and took it to the principal. I don’t want any ramifications coming my way.”
Romano said what the colors actually stand for might be eye opening for some people and doesn’t feel they are a reference to drugs. He has the same poster hanging in the nursery of his six month old son.
Cavallaro and Heinen don’t think the colors are drug related either.
They wrote a letter to Middle School principal Steve Burch explaining their concerns at the perceived policy change.
“We don’t agree or understand this development and we don’t’ think it’s fair or necessary,” they wrote. “Just because we like these colors does not mean we are referring to drugs or anything else bad. Rasta colors actually have nothing to do with drugs.”
The girls said they found out red symbolized the blood of African people, yellow the stolen gold and green the lost lands of Africa.
Cavallaro and Heinen explained on Tuesday that they just like listening to Bob Marley and like the Rasta colors.
“Us liking Rasta colors is simply an interest in different culture and music,” wrote the two. “At school we should be exposed to different cultures and religions, so we would like this rule to be changed.”
Burch said there has been no official rule change and said there is no intention of doing anything like that.
“Those decisions are made through district policy,” said Burch.
Superintendent Monte Woolstenhulme said after Galloway’s speech there might be some awareness raised on the issue and it could be something they talk about and reassess at the next regular principal meeting and possibly at the next school board meeting.
“Every year we go through the policy and talk about things that may need to be updated,” said Burch. “My goal is not to stifle kids in anyway.”
But middle school parent Jennifer Blair is confused. She has two daughters, one in seventh grand and one in eighth and she said she is getting information second hand from them.
“I find all of this a waste of time,” said Blair. “If there is a policy, send home a note. Let the kids in on what the teacher just learned and why a teacher feels like this is a problem.”
She said her daughters like to wear tie-dye shirts and wonders if that might be next.
Cavallaro and Heinen said they and some of their friends are considered hippies at the school and feel labeled at times.
Rasta colors have become popular in ski and snowboard culture. Professional skier Tanner Hall uses Rasta colors in his collection of gloves and backpacks with Dakine, on his goggles and coats with Oakley and on his skis.
He said he uses the colors because there’s a lot of deep meaning behind them in his life. Hall suffered fractured tibial plateaus and torn ACL’s in both legs after an injury in 2009 and said he didn’t know if he would return to skiing.
“I really turned to reggae music,” he said. “I was so down and didn’t see a way out. But reggae music and the Rasta lifestyle, it’s all about positivity and putting out good energy and having that good energy come back to you. It would be a crazy thing to ban those colors.”
Hall said his advice for students was not to get discouraged from wanting to know about other cultures and to stay positive.
A similar incident occurred at the Fremont school district after one of Galloway’s presentations in January of 2011. There wasn’t a ban on Rasta colors, but the brands SRH, Metal Militia and Tapou T were banned because of the drug connotations.
At Teton High School a student was asked to remove a Wiz Khalifa bracelet because of its reference to drugs.
The school district dress code policy said matters of dress remain the primary responsibility of students, in consultation with their parents or legal guardians.
“In general, students are not to wear or carry items or apparel (clothing, accessories, cosmetics, tattoos, jewelry—including body piercing) which depict or allude to, by picture, symbol or word, drugs, including alcohol and tobacco, controlled substances, drug paraphernalia, gangs, violence, sexually explicit, lewd, indecent or offensive material, or illegal acts,” the policy states.
Whiter or not Rasta colors are a symbol of drugs remains to be seen.

Dealing with NI's service center.
Everytime I need to update software, I have to update service center first. Everytime I need to do that, I need to request my password via email. Just enough already. Should just pirate this shit, would be so much easier to deal with.
