I've copied countless tutorials, read many threads and have scoured for information on this sound but the best I could come up with are Jaymac's and Seamless's tutorials on youtube, although I've had a bit of trouble finding a definitive answer for getting this sound. It seems to be FM8 through a vocoder from what I understand, although the likes of Zomboy, Knife Party, and Skrillex have got it down better than the tutorials by far. Its that very organic and unpredictable "blargh, blap, flip-a ,thrap, fromp- a wop- whaaaaaaaap" that I am after. I could name a few tunes to be specific if I had to. Im very sorry if this a vague or disappointing first post, but I had to join to ask because it seems like this gets mentioned on the growl thread but I feel it is something other than a growl. I like Jaymac's term "squishy bass" because it sounds so wet and not always that growly.

I've read it through so many times and there are so many dead links on sound cloud its hard to know what anyone is even referencing.
