lol this, the coldest it's been this winter at "walking to uni" time of the morning in the UK has been about 0 degrees c. Just need a standard coat for that.

Most students here rely on public transport (because again, most students dont live on campus) so I dont get your point. A lot of North American cities also have more urban sprawl....

The infrastructure of public transport in the USA (and also the UK) isn't the same like here. There are just a few Belgian cities where they got their shit together if it comes to public transport (Ghent) and Kortrijk ain't one of them.

I'm incapable of staying awake on public transport, especially first thing in the morning. If I had to get the train every day to work I'm sure I'd be waking up in Manchester a few times
