My Iranian mate said you can go without a problem, but you can't really chill like you might want to because you'll be watched so much. I've never heard of people being hassled for arbitrary bribes like, for example, Vietnam, though. My mate heard of one guy riding round like a bro in a convertible playing hip hop or some kind of western-ish music and just generally acting like what a lot of people in the US and UK would think of as a dick so they messed him up a bit
