My Iranian mate said you can go without a problem, but you can't really chill like you might want to because you'll be watched so much. I've never heard of people being hassled for arbitrary bribes like, for example, Vietnam, though. I'd actually go myself, it looks sick and it's a pretty pro-Western country if you ignore the bullshit rhetoric the elites come out with sometimes.

However, the revolutionary guard can be dicks if they feel like it, and if they have an excuse. My mate heard of one guy riding round like a bro in a convertible playing hip hop or some kind of western-ish music and just generally acting like what a lot of people in the US and UK would think of as a dick so they messed him up a bit :lol: in a strictly moralistic way, but you obviously can't act out and get off with a pussy warning from police...
