Just finished Jean Cocteaus Orphic Trilogy...

abstract - kinda sleepy - but very cool - I liked it...
classic definition of all things arthouse...

...and I mean formally - It was an exercise in original arthouse.

Wes Anderson is doing White Face.

I am very entertained with his activated stereotyping.

Watched Crank last night, great movie. Totally ridiculous and stupid, but that's what made it so enjoyable.

The woman following him around in that film is grim

Part 1 was much better. Part 2 felt like it was written on the spot with no consideration whatsoever for the qualities of part 1. And the ending is so daft I laughed in the cinema during the credits. I like Von Trier and I liked the first part but this was just not worth my 6€

Part 2 loses a lot of Seligman's parallels and the cinematography that accompagnies them , which was a big plus in part 1. There's no more Stacy Martin :x and some (a lot of) scenes feel like they were written just to show how far Jo can go in her perversion, whereas part 1 felt much more natural.
[+] Spoiler
The antichrist reference with the kid on the balcony killed my sides though  Loved it

And the ending... I was quite satisfied with it until I saw Skarsgard come back in the room. Then I thought "Fuck no Lars why do you have to destroy everything positive in this film"

the ending was so predictable, i was waiting for that to happen since like the first 10 mins or so
honestly it was one of the most shallow movies i've ever seen. it's part omg sex & violence so shocking + cliche references to appear deep. it's like it was written by a teenager who thinks he's super intelligent cause he read a few wikipedia articles  the 5 panel of cinema imo
