Studio RTA Creation Station

Post by Tekvision » Wed Feb 19, 2014 11:04 am

So I finally got my Creation Station desk :h:
Now.. I haven't assembled it just yet, because as I was reading the manual for this, I noticed it said that the weight limit for the top shelf (It has top shelf, main deskspace and Low shelf for your PC etc.) is 35 lbs. or 15,87 kg. Well, my monitors weigh 8.2 kg each, plus my asus screen. So it adds up to 20.4 kg.
The maximum weight, the whole desk can hold, is something like 135 lbs. or 60 kg.
I was wondering if any of you guys own the thing, so you could tell me is it safe to go over the limit?

Is it this one?

You should be alright going over the limit a bit. But looking at the wood don't got overboard because it looks like mdf/chipboard. I reckon if you took the wheels off, it would probably more stable for more weight.

yes it's that one. And yes it is chipboard, but I guess the top shelf can handle the few kg extra. The main desk space is so low that if I leave the wheels out, my chair won't go low enough to fit :D
