So I take it that you don't enjoy making dubstep?
I haven't really been a "dubstep" producer in like 2 years, I make music I enjoy listening to myself.
Anyone can say "im never selling out blablabla underground 4lyf" until they're offered a record deal.

The whole sell out thing is a little bit of a rancune issue, imo... Just try to make/finish a tune you genuinely don't like! You just can't... If chase and status or Dizzee went (mainstream)poppy, I believe they did it for the fans they gain with it and the money that comes with it. But I honestly do not believe they don't love their own tunes, I really think they stand behind it... Otherwise they would make the 'underground' music they did!

But how would you hate something that reminded you of all the money you made?

False. False. False.
There's more to the music than square waves and East London Aggression.

Yeah if I made something that made me a million pounds, even if it wasn't a "True artistic reflection of myself" I think the fact that I have the money to make what I wanted to make in all my time that I now have would make me pretty happy
