Logic pro automatically copies automations...?
If im working on a song and i want to layer something i always just copy and paste the note pattern from one channel to another. But the problem is that when i do this it also copies all of the automations that are used on that note pattern. And i dont want this.
I mean i could just go through and clear all the automations one by one after i copy and paste but that just gets annoying. Does anybody know how to fix this? And has anybody else ever had this problem before?

Re: Logic pro automatically copies automations...?
Is there a faster way to delete automation, like right clicking?

Preferences > Automation > Move automation with Regions > ASK
Also if you want to wipe automation either a) shift + click/drag over all nodes then shift/delete them b) click/drag the furthest node across all the others to clear them, then simply click it to delete it.

Also click (first) + ctrl to fine-drag automation is very useful.

Thanks dude! Exactly what i needed! I dont know why logic does stuff like that with its automation, it seems like they always have the least useful option set as an automatic preset for anything automation relatedtherapist wrote:Preferences > Automation > Move automation with Regions > ASK

Re: Logic pro automatically copies automations...?
or you could just right click in the automation mode and then u'll see the option for ''move automation with regions'' (I ussually check and uncheck it severeral times during a session)
