Auto BPM Counter VST

i'm looking for an auto bpm counter vst that can act as a master and send midi sync data back to its host. anyone know of one? needs to work with Ableton.

Why? Just warp the tracks and automate the tempo.

why? because i'm not using ableton to play wav files, just as a host of some fx, and i'd like to be able to sync it to an incoming beat. it wouldn't matter if it sometimes doubled or halfed the beat, as long as it sync reasonably.
i'm using mspinky.
i've got another way to do this, but this would be tons easier.

this would be a cool vst, never heard of one tho... also is there any vst that can warp tracks a la ableton??

that's strange though. it's a functionality included in a lot of hardware mixers etc.
i wonder if there's a reaktor patch / max module that does this...
